The Cadet Details form displays detailed information about a cadet. Also shown is the "Image Viewer", which displays a jpg image for each cadet. The viewer is toggled by clicking the button with the face on it. The following is the record for Bloggs.

    

Other cadets can be displayed using one of several methods:

• Click the arrow to the right of the surname and select from the drop-down list
• Search for a cadet using a nearest or exact match
• Use the "Data Navigator" on the toolbar

The Cadet Details form, along with every form in CDS, is in one of two modes: "Browse" or "Edit". Browse mode enables you to view your data without fear of accidental change. Edit allows you to amend your data. Entry boxes on forms are light yellow when they are in browse mode and white when they are editable. You switch between modes using the buttons on the toolbar, as shown above.

Clicking a button on the right of the Cadet Details will display another form that will allow other information to be captured. A cadet is promoted or his classification changed using the "Promotion" and "Classification" buttons. You issue kit to, and collect kit from, cadets using the "Issue/Return" button.
